On 1st of July we received in the evening the message that a bus with children arrived in Nice View. A children’s home had to close and wanted Nice View to admit the children.

Luckily it was just a mini bus and only 11 children had to be accommodated. The children were spread over 3 children’s homes and Nice View has to take care of 3 additional children now. Three boys, aged 3 to 4 years, which arrived neglected, underfed and hungry.

It will certainly not be easy to find out where the children (Jay, Oliver and Gabriel) originally come from.

Jay is around 4 years old, underfed but healthy. He sleeps quite fitfully and tosses about the whole night.

December 2015: In the meantime we received some more details. Jay is already 5 years old. He was admitted by the children's home when he was 8 months old. His father lives in Nairobi and he has possibly problems with the thyroid.

January 2016: Jay joined the kindergarten baby group. He is still a little bit shy but very affectionate and always sad if some visitors he makes friends with have to leave again. He uses them as a crutch while begging them emphatically to stay.
