On 1st of July we received in the evening the message that a bus with children arrived in Nice View. A children’s home had to close and wanted Nice View to admit the children.
Luckily it was just a mini bus and only 11 children had to be accommodated. The children were spread over 3 children’s homes and Nice View has to take care of 3 additional children now. Three boys, aged 3 to 4 years, which arrived neglected, underfed and hungry.
Oliver (Oli) is approximately 3 years old, underfed but healthy. Oli is somehow depressive, always looks down and hardly dares to look at someone.
December 2015: In the meantime we received some more details. Oliver is already 4 years old. He was admitted by the children's home when he was 5 weeks old and became luckily not infected with HIV by this mother.
January 2016: Oli joined the kindergarten baby group. By now he is a cheerful, self-confident, communicative and affectionate child. He is talking a lot, likes to play with his friends and learned how to establish himself.
November 2019: Oliver has developed positively, but he still can be quite stubborn and often cries over little things. At times, we are sure that he knows exactly what he is doing and it takes a lot of patience and empathy to deal with him. We try to help him control his temper by talking to him consistently. After having finished preschool successfully, he now attends class 1.
