History

FATHER: JOSEPH ONYANGO
MOTHER: SARAH AWOURI
SIBLINGS: 2
RESIDENTIAL PLACE: BANGLADESH

Victor is the last born in a family of three. Both his brother and sister live in Kisumu town on their own in an informal street life. Victors parents died 9yrs 7yrs ago possibly of HIV/AIDS. Since then, Victor was rescued by his maternal aunt who lives in Bangladesh. The aunt struggles to fend for a family of 5 children including Victor hence their schooling has been inconsistent and only one child managed to complete secondary school education due to lack of finances.

With Victor’s urge to learn, we took him and enrolled him in our school.

Career

Victor finished the Nice View Gratitude Academy end of 2014 with a good result (360 B+) and attends since beginning of 2015 a secondary school.

The results 2015 (form 1/class 9): C+/C/C

Since for the children from outside, mostly from Slum Bangladesh in Mombasa, almost no donations were received and the donations amount in general declined, we had to terminate the support of Victor end of 2016.

Also in respect that for more and more children of the children’s home the secondary school, the university or the college needs to be financed and not to endanger other sub-projects, this decision was inevitable.
