May 2018: Ibrahim and Ndolo

Dear godparents, friends and sponsors,

At the beginning of the year Ibrahim and Ndolo decided to begin a carpentry apprenticeship at a vocational training unit in Diani. This was a good decision as competent craftsmen are needed in Kenya.

Ibrahim, an adult already, had at first shared a room with Joseph in Diani (Joseph’s father lives next door with his family). This room was furnished by Nice View. Unfortunately, he soon quit the apprenticeship and, as it seems, decided to care for himself in the future. We, and the Nice view Team, regret this very much. Even if he did not live at the children’s village anymore he was still a part of the Nice View family and ought to be supported on his way into independence.

Ndolo still lives at the children’s village and goes to Diani every day.
