Job training for the future

In Msambweni a training centre for various skilled trades has been established. This program was initiated in January 2007, with the goal to offer apprenticeship positions to young people in wide-ranging professions.

Carpenter workshop

Alongside the orphanage and school, we have a fully functional workshop with woodworking machines imported from Europe. With the abundance of new projects, the workshop has expanded and numerous carpenters along with trainees and temporary staff are busy fitting out the orphanage, the new school classrooms, and the new clinic with everything from chairs, to shelves, to door frames.

Help towards self help

This is a project “help towards self help”, and we hope that once the project ramps up, it pays itself.

Machines from Germany

The machines are contributions from Germany and we are glad about any support!

The lathes, saws, drills and other woodworking equipment used in the workshop are donations from various sponsors and organizations. But we could always use more equipment, if you are able to help, please contact us!
