Dear godparents, friends and sponsors,
By the time you read these lines, the world around us may look different again. Terrorist attacks, wars, natural disasters and ever-increasing flows of refugees dominate the headlines in the daily press and social media. There is rarely anything good to report. Many people are therefore concerned about the future.
The children and adults in the Nice View Children's Village see their future prospects completely differently. Little by little, the children who, when they were accepted into the children's village, left behind a life without prospects in misery and without affection become young, self-confident adults who lead their lives independently, have their dreams and goals, and see good opportunities to achieve and realize them in their homeland. Although they learn a lot about Germany and life in Europe from Mama Gudrun and at school, they see their future in Kenya.
The members of the Projekt Schwarz-Weiß e.V. association and the entire team in Nice View under the great leadership of Gudrun Dürr look with pride at what they have achieved. But we are all aware that this sustained help, which has now been provided for 23 years, would be impossible without the many donors and sponsors.
Spontaneous donations always help to quickly get emergency situations under control, such as the recently burned down outdoor kitchen. The years of support from many donors and sponsors is a prerequisite for children like Lavender to be able to find strength for a self-determined life in their homeland from a carefree time in Nice View.
