It was a joyful and memorable day at Nice View Gratitude Academy and Junior School as learners from Pp2, Grade 3, Grade 6, and Grade 9 celebrated their graduation. The event was filled with color, smiles, and excitement as students, teachers, and parents gathered to mark this special milestone.

Our young chef is all smiles while preparing delicious cupcakes! With flour, focus, and fun, the kitchen turns into a place of creativity — where every mix brings us closer to a tasty treat fresh from the oven.

The tangerine trees in the shamba are flourishing, bearing an abundant crop under the bright skies. Their healthy growth reflects the care and dedication put into the farm, promising a fruitful harvest season ahead. The vibrant orchard stands as a symbol of hard work, patience, and the beauty of nature’s rewards.

Yesterday, our family came together for a joyful evening to celebrate all our October-born loved ones! The gathering was filled with laughter, love, and appreciation for each celebrant’s unique spirit. From heartfelt toasts to shared memories, the night reminded us how special it is to honor one another and the beautiful bond we share. Happy birthday once again to all our October stars!

A few years ago, a longtime family friend from Germany introduced the art of foot reflexology to our Nice View family. Our caregivers at the time were immediately enthusiastic and eager to learn this soothing technique. Since then, it has become a cherished part of our daily routine – even our older children practice it and help new team members get started.

For five of the Nice View children, this year was a big one. Final exams were coming up.

For two of them, Junior School (Grade 9), which they attended in Nice View, came to an end. Afterwards, they will either go to a Senior School (Grades 10-12) outside of Nice View or begin vocational training.

Dr. Jana Huttenlau and the MKK mit Herz team later visited us at the children's village.

The topic was:

Oral health, nutrition, and the importance of dental care, including cleaning with a toothbrush and toothpaste.

Dr. Jana Huttenlau (dentist) visited us this year with the team from the MKK mit Herz organization and with the support of Dentists for Africa.

All the Nice View children were examined and treated as needed. Our staff and other patients from Msambweni and the surrounding area were also treated. Fillings were done and teeth were cleaned. Some teeth also had to be extracted. The treatments took place at the Nice View Medical Center.

Learners from Nice View Gratitude Academy marked Mazingira Day with great enthusiasm by planting trees, collecting litter, and raising awareness on environmental care.

Due to climate change, the "makuti roofs" need to be replaced more and more frequently. Roof repairs were urgently needed, and with the support of RTL - Wir helfen Kindern (RTL - We Help Children) in the amount of €5,000, we started the renovation and conversion into a parents'/family home.

The learners of the Nice View Gratitude Academy rolled up their sleeves, filled the bags, and left the beach sparkling clean!

Since all students, teachers, and staff at the children's village receive lunch every day, 35 kg of rice is cooked on a wood-burning stove on school days when rice is on the menu.

Every Monday and Friday, the school day begins with an assembly. Since physical education is also on the schedule on these days, students wear sports clothes instead of school uniforms.

In the morning, the children gathered for a church Sunday school session. They creatively put together a 'wordless book' where they made a book with different colours and each colour represented something. It was so interesting.

Today at Nice View, we enjoyed a beautiful and engaging art session where we painted the inside of coconut shells! The children absolutely loved it their excitement and creativity were shining -through every brushstroke.

Under the cool shade of the mango tree, our learners at Nice View Gratitude Academy dived into the exciting world of Kubb — a fun-filled Swedish game that had everyone cheering! With wooden batons flying and teammates plotting their next throw, the playground turned into a lively arena of strategy, teamwork, and laughter.

Our curious and enthusiastic daycare children took part in a fun-filled gardening activity where they watered the seedlings they had planted earlier. With bright eyes and tiny hands holding watering cans, they learned how to care for young plants and the importance of patience, responsibility, and teamwork.

We warmly congratulate the student, who had previously qualified for the national music festivals.

Today (July 30th) marked the last day of school, and we closed the term in true style! It was a day full of joy, pride, and celebration as we came together to honour the incredible achievements of the term.

During the Sunday School at Nice View, each child received a small stone to paint in their own way. This stone serves as a personal reminder: whenever they feel it in their pocket, they are reminded that God is always with them—no matter what. Situation.

Cheers to our unstoppable girls' football team for clinching the County Championship in an electrifying tournament held right here at Nice View Gratitude Academy, Msambweni! With fierce teamwork, skill, and determination, they have earned their spot at the Regional Level!

One of the students of the Nice View school made us beam with pride as she performed a powerful German poem at the Regional Music Festivals in Voi — and now she's headed to the Nationals!

Today, the Nice View family received a generous donation of sweet, juicy oranges — and guess what? We’re turning them into freshly squeezed juice for our amazing children!

Unleashing Creativity – One Masterpiece at a Time!

The spirit of innovation and fun was alive at Nice View Gratitude Academy as our brilliant Grade Five learners lit up the day with their Art and Sports Project showcase!

30. June 2025: Today, our preschool children took part in the Regional Kenya Music Festival held at Kenyatta High School in Mwatate. Accompanied by their dedicated teachers and supportive parents, the young performers proudly presented the poem "My Pretty Pet".

Nice View Gratitude Academy made an outstanding appearance at the recent Subcounty Music Festivals, leaving audiences enthralled and adjudicators impressed with a vibrant lineup of culturally rich and artistically polished performances.

Grade 8 students at Nice View Gratitude Academy recently showcased their practical skills by preparing a traditional meal of ugali and fish as part of their agriculture project. The activity aimed to help learners understand the connection between food production and nutrition, emphasizing the importance of agriculture in daily life.

Students at Nice View School had a fantastic time engaging in outdoor education activities this week. Preschoolers enjoyed a fun-filled day in the field, exploring nature and playing games. Meanwhile, older students actively discussed and presented their projects outdoors, combining learning with the fresh air. It was a wonderful opportunity for all grades to connect with nature while enhancing their learning experiences.

Today, 1st of June, Kenya marked Madaraka Day, a national holiday commemorating the country's first step to self-rule on June 1st, 1963. This day celebrates the moment Kenyans took charge of their own government after years of colonial rule—an important milestone on the road to full independence.

Laughter fills the air as our little stars enjoy their break—some dancing to fun tunes, others lost in imaginative play with toys, and a few soaring with joy on swings and slides. Every moment is a new adventure!

We are pleased to report that a new ultrasound machine was purchased and put into operation on February 6th.
