The Day of the African Child
10. September 2026
On May 26, the organization D.R.O.P.S. organized an event for our school. Students were divided into age-appropriate groups. Educational sessions were held on topics such as hygiene, nutrition, and oral care. For the older children and teenagers, the program also covered internet usage and an introduction to artificial intelligence. Furthermore, discussions took place regarding mindset, mutual respect, and personal boundaries. Young girls also received information about their menstrual cycles, and menstrual cups were explained and distributed to everyone. The day concluded with activities such as face painting, balloon modeling, and—as is customary in Kenya—dancing. The children learned a great deal, received small gifts, and took home plenty of joy.
