Christmas & New Year's Eve in the Nice-View-Children`s-Village

This year (2009) we celebrated Christmas for the first time in Nice View II.

The girls decorated the Christmas tree festively and full of dedication. On Christmas Eve the whole Nice View family with co-workers and visitors assembled in the Christmassy decorated Banda (dining hall) of Nice View II. In total we were a group of almost 70 people for the handing out of presents.

The Christmas story was presented by some of the children. After the unwrapping of the presents, there was "sausage salad à la Mama Gudrun" and home-backed rolls for all.

It was a wonderful festivity, and we adults were deeply moved watching our happy children unpacking the presents. Even some of our co-workers shed tears of joy.

On the day after Christmas we set up our yearly beach camp together with the older children, and our recently renovated Beach-Banda was herewith inaugurated. We had a lot of fun and the weather was fantastic. Also our smaller children were always with us along the beach and only went home for sleeping. On New Year’s Eve we organized a big children’s party and a small fireworks along the beach. On 2nd January the camp ended.

For us it is he most beautiful present to witness how happy our children grow up. This is the best thank-you for all the hard work and also the best thank-you to all our sponsors, friends and supporters.
