Au-pair Report Mwanasha

My name is Mwanasha. I am in Germany since 05 April 2017 and worked for 1 year as au-pair in a Family by the name Schaller. The Family was friendly to me, that means i had a lot of fun and i got to learn and experience many new things from them.

I took care of two children, Jennifer who is 11 years old living with Downsyndrome und Katja 9 years old.

My duties were as follows:

  • Cooking mostly preparing lunch.
  • Helping the Children doing their homework.
  • Cleaning the house.
  • Giving food to the Animals.
  • Babysitting.
  • Prepairing breakfast.

During my stay, I visited a german school. The german class was once a week on the evenings and i travelled  always with the Train.

I had my holiday in August whereby i visited different countries. I first flew to Amsterdam  to visit Heike Dreher. I stayed there for 5 days. we visited different areas including Anne Frank Museum. After that i visited Mama Uschi und Papa Eberhard in Frankfurt.

I also travelled with my guest Family to Schwarzwald and after that we drove to France/strasburg where i got an opportunity to see the European Parliament.

During the Christmas and New Year celebrations, i had a wonderful and enjoyable time. I celebrated Christmas with my guest family and New year by Marcel. I also visited Lilly in Erkheim and we sold some items for the projekt.

Now comes an important part of my life which is my future plan. My plan is to do nursing on top of what i studied in Kenya. Therefore, I will be volunteering in an Hospital in Krumbach (Krumbach Hospital) in oder to perfect my language and when all goes well and i pass my B2 exam then i can apply for my Course.

I first want to thank God for everything.

My second thanksgiving goes to all who made it possible that i get a chance in Krumbach hospital as a volunteer. Gabi Roedel Springer, Guest Family, Martina Domke, Heike Dreher, Marcel Dürr. I am very thankful. I could not manage it all alone without your help.

At last i thank the project. Through your Support, i will not forget you. And i pray that one day i'll be able to give something good in return.

Lots of love

Mwanasha Rajojo.
