Current corona situation in Kenya

The current corona situation in Kenya is unchanged. There are more positive Covid-19 cases in the big cities. Depending on the number of cases, lockdowns are imposed in different cities. In our Kwale district we have been lucky so far and the number of cases is very low.

Many people are suffering extremely from the pandemic. The tourism industry, with which a great many people earn their daily bread, is on the ground. As a result, many are unemployed or given an indefinite term and do not know how to "survive" the next few weeks and cannot pay their bills. We hope that the situation will gradually ease and that the light at the end of the tunnel will come closer.

The schools are currently open again and all students must wear a mask. In general, there is a mask requirement and curfew from 10:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m.
