As usual, the Easter holidays are approaching fast. We can hardly believe that after ice and snow and then a few warm days, we have snowflakes and freezing temperatures again.
Whereas in Kenya things are completely different: The beginning of the year was hot in every aspect. Not only the sun was ablaze: As reported earlier, the warehouse on the clinic premises burnt down. We want to thank you for helping us with fast and generous donations. We have already started the reconstruction works. We are glad to have people at our side who support Nice View with their tremendous assistance and give hope and confidence to those in need on Kenya's south coast. ASANTE SANA!
2018 will be another year of challenges as the cost of living is increasing steadily. By building a solar system for the children's village and the school, we intend to save a great deal of energy costs. Operation is planned to start in April 2018. This year's rainy season already began in March and we hope that the roofs over Nice View are watertight and the roads in the coastal area won't be flooded.
To be able to continue the Nice View projects in the same way as we used to or even to expand them further we hope for your support. Kindly recommend us to your relatives, friends and colleagues. If you are in Kenya or plan to go there, feel free to visit Nice View (60 km south of Mombasa) and get the full picture of our activities.
Currently, Nice View children are busy making Easter decorations. Each child and each employee will receive a small gift on Easter Sunday after brunch. The Kenyan Easter Bunny will hide the gifts near Nice View II.
