House made from bottles

Already a while back Gudrun Dürr became aware of using plastic bottles to build houses (earthquake and bullet proof as well as thermo-insulating). Since there are plenty of plastic bottles in Kenya (which are then filled with sand) and the issue of housing the day-askari (security personnel at the gate) was not yet solved, the staff (maintenance and cabinetmaking) took up her idea and realized it under the competent guidance of Mr. Thomas Müller. Julius, the day-askari, had often stood at the gate in pouring rain or scoring heat and is now very happy about his new little house. His sincere thanks (and ours as well) are given to Mr. Müller.

Even the television broadcasting teams heard about the project and visited Nice View. Gudrun and Eugene were interviewed and Nice View was introduced. The piece already aired on TV, much to the joy of the kids, the staff and us, of course.
