On January 1st, 2023, a new education system will be introduced in Kenya changing the curriculum from 8-4 to 6-3-3. This means primary education will be reduced from 8 to 6 years,
followed by a so-called Junior Secondary School for classes 7, 8 and 9.
As a consequence, the school must be extended by at least 2 more rooms - a difficult task for the Nice View Gratitude Academy.
From school year 7 onwards, children have chemistry and physics lessons which must be held in a specially equipped classroom.
To meet the new requirements, we plan to build a 7 x 8 m annexe. The estimated costs for the construction alone are 46,000.00 EUR. (Breakdown of costs attached)
The interior fittings amount to approx. 10,900.00 EUR. (Detailed description attached)
Nice View would love to start building immediately and make the plans take shape. We aim to assist children in their education course as long as possible. Nice View offers an opportunity to motivate and guide teachers on a daily basis - to the benefit of children on their way to autonomy,
Currently, we have to face unusually high price increases in Kenya and therefore, PSW has raised the monthly budget in order to keep the Nice View projects alive. It has become very difficult for the association to cope with this additional financial challenge.
