Repair Makutiroofs

In recent years, there has been more rain than before in Kenya’s coastal regions. Presumably this is a result of the climate change.

As a result of this, the makuti (palm-leaves) has no time for drying and the roofs are rotting very fast and need to be constantly repaired. In the past, the lifetime of a roof was about 8 to 10 years, at the moment only 2 or 3 years. Therefore, the costs of the makutiroofs are unfortunately higher than the plans. We would be very happy with any financial support.
