Teachers' Seminar December 2022

The schools are not prescribed in detail which structural elements of school development and school of school development and school design they can use to encourage pupils to learn successfully. They have a great deal of freedom in designing their lessons.

Nice View Gratitude Academy is privileged to have new teaching and learning methods. This is in line with the mission and vision of our school, which is to provide quality education. Quality teaching is at the heart of our school development work.

We know that a positive climate in schools, oriented towards successful learning, fosters students' willingness to achieve.

Striving for excellence as well as weaknesses in school learning do not lead to exclusion. The structure and methods of the lessons are oriented towards the individual child, his or her particular strengths and weaknesses. Frontal teaching, teacher lecture do not dominate the lessons. The focus is on independent, problem-oriented learning as partner work, in table groups or as individual performance.

Teachers do not focus their professional diagnosis of student performance primarily on errors and deficits. They encourage positive approaches, promote and challenge very individually.

Teachers see the academic success of the pupils entrusted to them as part of their professional as well as pedagogical responsibility. They do not know any 'wrong pupils'. They do not send their pupils away because they have learning difficulties.

Our teaching team has conducted several workshops over the past years to learn and practice these learning methods.

This year our teaching team has changed, so we re-introduced our teaching / learning methods concept to everyone in a two-week seminar that took place while the students were home for the December holidays.

The seminar was a success, the teachers participated with joy and the new teachers were also enthusiastic.

We can proudly report that our concept of teaching / learning methods in our school brings about positive changes in the students, as the learners are able to interact freely with the content and especially with themselves.

The aim and vision of our school is to pass on these methods to the next generations and change the attitude towards learning in Kenya as a country.

This will produce productive and well-equipped learners for the future.

We are thankful for the report that reached us from Kenya.
