Tree felling accident

First aid in the state hospital surgery had to be interrupted because Mshila lost too much blood. As a consequence, the wound could not be fully cleaned. The next day, a Kenyan holiday, it was difficult to obtain medical care. The wound was cleaned without anaesthesia.

To date, 47-year old Mshila had to undergo several operations in which the sole of his foot was reattached and the skin on the upper part of his foot was removed. He will need more surgery in the future in order to preserve his foot.

Unfortunately, the public health insurance does not bear the surgery costs. Therefore, Projekt Schwarz-Weiß has provided the required funds which have already been transferred to Kenya. We would be grateful for any sponsor willing to add their financial support. Please indicate "Employee Accident" as intended use to help Mshila. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

We will keep you posted as soon as we have further news and know more about the next steps.

This was yet another incident that showed us the urgency of enhancing the Nice View clinic to be able to treat patients instantly and adequately.

In Kenya, medical help is usually provided only upon advance payment. It is no exception that severely injured or sick people are left unattended. We want to make a change here!
