A container, presumably the last one, is to be shipped to Kenya this year to deliver urgently needed aid supplies and hopefully also new batteries as well as a battery inverter for the solar system.
On February 10, a terrible accident occurred in Kenya. Mshila, a Nice View employee since the early days of the 20-year-old children's village, injured his foot very badly while cutting down trees.
In January 2020 the FLMH team from Berlin, Germany, visited the Nice View Gratitude Academy for the second time. As in 2019, students were actively supported for one week to learn how to work with different media as "Nice View Reporters".
End of November Marcel contacted us to ask if we could shoot a new image film for the website as well as some promotional clips about the Nice View clinic and school. He also wanted English versions that would be posted on Facebook in Kenya for instance.
Unfortunately, the creation of new and especially the copying of the existing content took more time than originally thought. We still have to work on the English version in particular and hope for your understanding.
Thanks to an approved grant application of Sternstunden and with the support of the partner association Ubele (https://ubele.ch/) in Switzerland, the conversion / expansion of the main kitchen could be tackled.

After Kahindi had a three-week contract with his former teacher as a painter, and during that time also lived in Diani, he decided to move out and stand on his own two feet.
On 18 August, the Nice View Clinic was again able to organize a Medical Camp (day of action where medical advice and treatments are offered free of charge).
Each year, children's homes in the Nice View area organize a sports day, which is always held in another children's home. This year on 15.8.2019 in Ukunda at Future for Children.
Teachers, parents and students of the "Star of the Sea Academy" in Mombasa, visited the children's village a while ago. They played with the children and had lunch with them.
