The entire Nice View family in Msambweni and the Projekt Schwarz-Weiß e.V. team wish you and your family a Happy Easter.

The year 2021 was very fruitful for us in the Nice View family.

We were fortunate to have ten new children join us. The children are currently doing well and attending Nice View Gratitude Academy.

After the 2021 break because of the corona virus pandemic, the Nice View Reporters had a comeback with some “old hands” as well as beginners. This time, it was explanatory videos filmed with mobile phones.

Mit großer Freude sind wir am Ende des akademischen Jahres 2021 angelangt. Als Schulleiter der Nice View Gratitude Academy möchte ich mich bei allen bedanken, die an diesem Jahr teilgenommen und es zu einem Erfolg gemacht haben.

Kahindi, a former Nice View kid, has an extraordinary talent as an artist. For some weeks he has been beautifying the classrooms of our school. With these orders he is still supported by Nice View.

A turbulent year is coming to an end. Uncertain political developments, natural disasters, famines, many people on the run - it would not be surprising if the association Projekt Schwarz-Weiß also had to worry about the future of the Nice View Children's Village.

There are three girls 8 (approx. 9, 7 and 1 ½ years old) and an approx. 3 year old boy.

This year ended well because there was a special highlight this year at Nice View Gratitude Academy.

On December 6, Nice View Gratitude Academy had a great day with the visit of Saint Nicholas.

It runs in the Nice View School: Our teachers practice the new methods of more student-oriented teaching, as the Kenyan government demands. Teaching in a circle of chairs, in groups and in teams is slowly becoming the norm.

In Nice View we grow among other things Hibiscus for tea. Since we attach great importance to organic cultivation, our children drink only tea from our garden. This year we succeeded in growing hibiscus and we harvest wonderful hibiscus flowers for our daily tea preparation.

We are planning another aid transport to Mombasa and look forward to your support!

In the next few days a 20ft sea container will be delivered to 89297 Roggenburg. In the first few months of 2022 this should be packed and shipped to Mombasa.

Thanks to the organization “Ein Herz für Kinder” and other donors, an urgently needed minibus could be purchased. So the children can be transported safely.

Again, this is a 7-year-old girl.

We would be happy if someone could imagine taking on a sponsorship for her.

Nice View Coordination Team for Open Learning Methods

The Kenyan government has decided to make teaching in Kenya's schools more student- and problem-centred.

The brothers are 10, 9 and 4 years old.

We are very happy with our citrus fruit (orange, tangerine and lemon) harvest in all Nice View Project gardens this year, which enriches our healthy diet. We have now already produced over 150 liters of hand pressed juice.

Kahindi is a Nice View protégé who now lives independently in Ukunda / Diani. He earns his daily bread by tattooing and paints great pictures, which he also sells.

The current corona situation in Kenya is unchanged. There are more positive Covid-19 cases in the big cities. Depending on the number of cases, lockdowns are imposed in different cities. In our Kwale district we have been lucky so far and the number of cases is very low.

Welcome to Nice View Day Care, we take care of toddlers aged one to four years.

Our caregivers are trained and experienced to handle children with a lot of care and love.

The girls come from different families and are around 7 years old.

The Nice View Children's Village staff held a team building session on May 22, 2021 led by visitors from Germany and their team.

The registration of children's villages in Kenya by the responsible ministry has to be renewed again and again.

The new registration is always preceded by a detailed examination and is evidenced by certificates.
